Thank you for your excellent March 14 column about marriage, 
civil rights and religion, and for interviewing Rev. Caldwell.  
At a February 14 public commitment ceremony in Philadelphia 
for thirty-nine same-gender couples one of the two officiating 
Metropolitan Community Church pastors and more than half of the 
people being blessed were African American.
