Dear Editors:

We were extremely disturbed by your February 13 “In Theory” regarding the Federal Marriage 
Amendment.   Are there really that many clergy people in Southern California who are willing 
to amend the United States Constitution to outlaw competing religious views?  What religious 
doctrines will they try to enforce next if they succeed with marriage?
